Paola Cipollari is an Associate Professor in Stratigraphic Geology at the University of Roma Tre, Dipartimento di Scienze. Her research activity is mainly addressed to the stratigraphic and biostratigraphic analysis (calcareous nannofossils) of Neogene basins in the central-eastern Mediterranean through the analysis of stratigraphic successions outcropping in different geodynamic settings (Algerian-Provencal Basin rift; the Tyrrhenian Basin rift and post-rift; the Aegean Sea rift; the Apennine orogenic system; the Rif orogenic system, Morocco); the study of uplift processes of orogenic plateaus (Anatolian Plateau); the high-resolution stratigraphy (Mio-Pliocene successions of the central Apennines); field geology (she contributed to multiple 1:50.000 scale Geological sheets, CARG Project - Geological and Geotematic Cartography – Ispra, in Latium and Sardinia regions).
She is the author of numerous publications in international and national journals.
